Terms

These are the terms for using this website, the Prime Resolve help desk at help.davidosborne.work and the booking page at book.davidosborne.work. They are short because the services are small. Work itself is always agreed in writing, separately, and that written agreement is what governs it.

Who you are dealing with

David Osborne, an individual based in Lewes, East Sussex, providing IT and web services to small businesses. Prime Resolve is the name of the help desk, not a company. Contact: hello@davidosborne.work.

Using this website

The site is there to tell you what I do and how to reach me. It is not an offer, a quote or a contract, and nothing on it commits either of us to anything. I try to keep it accurate and current, but I make no promise that it is complete or free of error, and you should not rely on it in place of a written quote.

Please do not probe, overload or attempt to break into this site, the status page, the help desk or the booking page. They are small systems run by one person, and I do log and, where it is warranted, report abuse.

The live status figures

The front page shows live uptime for sites I look after, read from my own monitoring. It is published so you can check my claims rather than take them on trust. It is information, not a guarantee: a green bar is what my monitor saw from where it stands, and the service levels I actually owe a client are the ones written in their agreement.

How work is agreed

Every job starts with a conversation, which costs nothing, and then a written quote or proposal that sets out what will be done, what it costs and when. Work beyond that conversation is chargeable, and that includes a site visit or a written scope of work; you will always have the price in writing before it happens. The quote is the agreement. If anything on this website differs from what your quote says, the quote wins.

I do this work alongside a full-time job. The response times on this site (a reply within two working days; help desk requests picked up in the evening) are targets I hold myself to, not contractual commitments, unless your written agreement says otherwise.

The help desk and the booking page

The help desk is for clients and for people asking about becoming one. Anyone can raise a request; I will answer requests from people I do not work for as time allows. Booking a call reserves my time in good faith, so if you cannot make it, cancel or move it using the link in your confirmation email. Both services may be withdrawn or changed at any time.

Content, names and logos

The words, code and images on this site are mine unless stated, and you may quote or link to them freely with attribution. Client names and logos appear with the client's permission and remain theirs. The software that runs the help desk, booking and analytics is open source and belongs to its authors.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website, the status figures, the help desk or the booking page, or from relying on anything published on them. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Liability for work I actually carry out is dealt with in the written agreement for that work.

Privacy

What I collect and why is set out in the privacy notice.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it.
